About TextTrans and the People Behind Your Portuguese Work
Who we are and how we work with LSPs
TextTrans began as a small team of native Portuguese linguists and grew into a partner that supports LSPs with steady, accurate work. We focus on Portuguese for Brazil and Portugal and shape our service around the pace and realities of localization teams. Our role is simple: take care of the Portuguese work so your team can keep client interactions smooth.
Project managers on our side are native speakers of Brazilian Portuguese. Most of our translators live in Brazil, with another group based in Europe, which gives us natural coverage for both Portuguese markets and enough overlap with your hours to handle urgent needs. Many translators have been with us for years. Their familiarity with long-term accounts helps us keep terminology and tone stable.
We built our approach over many years of supporting LSPs. Transparency guides how we work. We track terminology, document decisions, and keep context visible so your team can answer client questions without delays. Each account settles into its own rhythm, and we adjust our planning around those patterns. Some updates come weekly. Others come in cycles. We match your pace.
Why TextTrans works well for LSP partners
When LSPs look for a Portuguese partner, they want someone who handles the work without adding noise to their internal process. TextTrans grew with that in mind. We built our service around clear communication, stability, native skill, and a practical understanding of how your days look behind the scenes. Many of our current partners came to us after experiencing inconsistency elsewhere and stayed because we support their workflow instead of complicating it.
Our team understands what happens when a file moves through multiple hands and platforms before it reaches the end client. A small misunderstanding early in the process can snowball into delays, questions from reviewers, and long email chains. We try to prevent that by asking questions at the right time, confirming any unclear instruction, and documenting decisions so they stay visible to everyone involved.
Our values: what guides the work we do at TextTrans
These values guide how we approach every project and every partnership.
Approachability
Clear communication keeps projects moving. We stay easy to reach, respond without delay, and keep the tone steady even when schedules tighten. A calm exchange helps issues surface early and reduces the chance of small uncertainties turning into bigger problems down the line.
Reliability
Predictable delivery is essential for LSP workflows. We plan carefully, follow your instructions as written, and keep an eye on details that may affect the final result. When timelines shift, we adjust our internal planning rather than pass the pressure onto your team.
Problem-solving
Localization projects change quickly. When something unexpected appears, we look for the most direct way to resolve it and keep the project on track. This mindset is shared across our translators and reviewers, which helps prevent delays and reduces back and forth.
Commitment
We focus on long-term relationships with LSP partners. Many of the accounts we manage have been active for years, and we treat them with the care they deserve. Stability, honest communication, and respect for your workflow shape how we approach each project.
Frequently Asked Questions
We have collected the questions that give a clear overview of our process and what we offer.
Into what languages do you translate?
TextTrans works with Portuguese for Brazil and Portugal. This includes a large team in Brazil and additional support in Europe for Iberian Portuguese. If your project needs both variants, we handle them separately so each version reflects the tone expected in its market.
From what source languages do you translate?
We translate from English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. If your project involves another source language, you can check with us and we will confirm availability.
Who do you translate for?
We support LSPs only. Your clients may be global brands or growing companies in many industries, but all the work reaches us through you. This keeps our role clear and prevents any overlap with your direct relationships. See some examples of brands we’ve supported here.
Do you translate for individuals?
We do not. Our service is built for LSP partners and structured around the needs of larger accounts.
Can you give me a standard price?
Pricing varies by content type, subject knowledge, volume, and long-term relationship. We offer preferential rates for ongoing accounts with steady work. If you need indicative pricing, you can send us a sample or a short brief, and we will provide a clear figure.
What do you need in order to provide a quotation?
We need to see the source files, ideally in an editable format, along with any instructions or references. This allows us to check the word count, assess the subject, and provide accurate pricing. You can send us your request here.
How quickly can you provide a quotation?
We can usually give ballpark figures within 24 hours. More complex requests may take a little longer, especially if they involve technical or highly structured content.
How quickly can you return the translation?
We plan around your deadlines and do our best to meet the timing you set. If a deadline is not feasible, we will tell you early and give you the fastest timeline we can offer without affecting quality.
How do you assure high quality?
Quality comes from skilled translators, consistent processes, and careful alignment with your client’s preferences. We match translators to accounts based on subject familiarity, use structured workflows, check terminology, and keep communication open throughout the project. Our focus is to deliver work that passes review without unnecessary revisions.
Where are your translators based?
Most of our translators live in Brazil, which gives us strong native coverage for the Brazilian market. We also have translators in Europe who handle Iberian Portuguese and provide additional capacity when needed.
I would like to work with TextTrans, how can I do this?
We are always open to hearing from experienced translators. If you would like to work with us, you can reach out and share your background, subject knowledge, and availability. To learn more about working with us, please click here.
